There were 35 entries for this poster competition, ranging right across the age groups from 5 – 18 years (each school had been asked to choose up to 3 entries for each category).  The majority of entries came from primary schools, with only 2 secondary schools represented.  We felt that the standard was particularly high in KS2 and found it quite hard to select the 3 winners from that group, but we tried to choose entries that reflected the Olympic theme and looked like the child’s unaided work.  A gold, silver & bronze medal was awarded in each category, except for the 16 – 18 age group, where there were only 2 entries. Each winner also received a W H Smith voucher.

The presentation of medals took place on Saturday 23rd June at the Angel Centre, Tonbridge and was well attended, particularly by the younger children.  Tonbridge DFAS was thanked for donating £250.00 towards the prizes and one of their committee members, Alison Miall, was one of the judges.
